Studying in the United Kingdom can be a stressful task. Not only do you have to decide on which University you wish to go to, but you also need to make sure you have all of the correct qualifications to do so. However, it does not have to be all doom and gloom, and it should not be as you could potentially be setting off on a life-changing experience full of opportunity. Being a leading education provider, LABM can offer you ways to progress onto University taught online courses in Business Management thanks to our fully accredited Business Management Foundation Course.
ABOUT THE COURSE
The Level 3 University Foundation Programme is a 120 credit qualification (equivalent to two A levels) which helps students learn key concepts and a range of management procedures required to work within a business, it has been specifically developed to provide the knowledge required for students to work effectively, both as individuals and in teams within business. Being able to develop good business management skills is crucial for any company.
The Level 3 Diploma Business Management is made up of 6 modules and 6 written assignments, each module consists of approximately 40 guided learning hours. While completing the Diploma, students will have access to various study resources, such as tutor support and webinars, a social learning forum, and additional materials to help in the completion of their graduate business course.
Upon completion of this course, students receive an ATHE Level 3 Business Management qualification which is fully regulated by Ofqual. Students will then have the opportunity to apply for admission onto a full Undergraduate Degree programme from a range of UK universities. Alternatively, students can opt to study our Level 4/5 Extended Diploma in Management and then go on to complete an Undergraduate Top Up at a range of UK universities.
WHY IT’S A GREAT ALTERNATIVE TO UNIVERSITY-LED FOUNDATION COURSES
Studying a University-led Foundation course certainly has its positives, but it also has many negatives which may affect your ability to progress onto a full-time University course. The LABM Business Management Foundation Course negates a lot of these negatives!
COST – Foundation Degrees in the United Kingdom are expensive. On average, you will be looking at spending the same amount as a typical yearly cost of a bachelor degree.
RELOCATION – While moving into University dorms might be an exciting prospect for some, being able to study from the comfort of your own home can be a much better experience should you be entering education for the first time in the United Kingdom.
DEDICATED SUPPORT – Quite often, Foundation Year students within Universities can feel quite lost — not only is it usually their first time back in education for a while but they are often segregated from normal university life. LABM on the other hand offers dedicated support for all of its students.
SPECIFICALLY TAILORED FOR BUSINESS – Foundation Years tend to be quite broad in regard to their teaching, often labelled Foundation of Arts, Foundation of Science etc. This leads to a broad range of modules that may not be for you. With LABM’s Foundation Course, you can rest assured that all of your taught content will be specific to Business Management.
PROGRESSING TO UNIVERSITY LEVEL EDUCATION – BACHELORS DEGREE
The Bachelor degree is designed to help you gain a thorough understanding of a subject. Full-time, this normally takes three years to complete (four in some cases). There are different titles of degree, such as Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (BSc), Bachelor of Education (BEd) and Bachelor of Engineering (BEng).
